@Mightyman Oh Man that thing pulls like a Lambo up that steep climb! And that spec list makes me droooollllllllllllllllllllllllllll. This bike is TDF hands down.
Give me a sumo conversation and I'd be sooooooooooo happy!!!
@Calum tell me about it the price of them are climbing, hope you don't mind ive started a before and after of my cylinder and head mick abbey is having it next week ive started it in technical tuning topend feel free to move it if you feel its in the wrong location
In the end i decided to just change the piston even though there was a score down the cylinder

and the head was quite worse for wear.

But i made the right choice for now as it only cost me a ridiculous £13.55 delivered... Can't go wrong even if it only lasts me a couple of rides!

Now just finished swapping over the foot brake for a left hand brake I never got around to fitting on my DTX.

So should be ready for a bit of stunt practice tomorrow
@tdr125greg the "fat" area 28 mm is in the clamping area and it reduces to the 22 mm on the ends so you need only the conversion-risers for clamping and you can keep all the other stuff for 22mm
Tbh these were my first ever proper attempts.. so they didn't turn out great. But that's where the magic of editing comes in. I was cheating by not using the front brake, and as such I kept gaining speed and couldn't hold them for very long.
My advice would be just try and get as much weight over the front wheel as possible!
finally got the brakes done back and front new discs pads and hoses and new fluid seems so much better than they were thats for sure made me relise how bad they were but dont think it helped that the back caliper was sezied on the sliding pin so caliper was not moving strange that the person who had the bike before had done lots of work on the bike before has had new pistons and seals in the brake but forgot to grease the sliding pins just goes to show you can never trust all the paper work for work done if its not been done properly
This is it. You often find designs have to be rejigged to fit.
Whilst the lathe I have access to is out of action, they really are not that expensive, you can get a hammond drummon for a few hundred and what you can make on them is endless possibilities
