@calum @declan You've been very lucky then. It all depends on how the goods enter the country and which courier is handling the items. Since Brexit you have to complete a customs form for RM/PO and comply with Notice; 143 if your sending or receiving stuff from abroad. RM, Fedex, TNT, UPS and DHL are red hot on adding import taxes and goods will be held until they are paid. But it all depends on the value of the goods, anything under £135 or 150 euros is fine, but you will get hit with duties over that threshold. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/notice-143-a-guide-for-international-post-users/notice-143-a-guide-for-international-post-users https://www.royalmail.com/brexit https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/individuals/buying-goods-services-online-personal-use/buying-goods/buying-goods-online-coming-from-a-noneu-union-country_en

@waale2004 Best jetting for Athena 170 is 300 main jet on the Mikuni tm28 but with the powerjet blocked off. Just cut the rubber tube in half from the float chamber to the powerjet then block the 2 halves of the rubber tube with a couple of 5mm threaded bolts or similar.

@finchfocker I myself just bought the DCCDIP1 race. Seems like a great unit, just programmed myself a ignition map to start off with, hopefully I'll get a chance to plug her in soon!

Thanks for all the on and off topic replies. I managed to get a front rim off ebay from a guy 2 miles up the street ( weird ) that's in great condition, spokes are on back order so sorted for the front, so the hunt is on for a rear. I'm not rich , I'm on minimum wage so this restoration is on a tight budget, but if you can't start with a good base ( frame, wheels ), it'll never be what you expected. The temptation to break away and do my own thing is incredible, but I just want to see how far I can get before breaking down and setting fire to it .

Think Unit 5 Motos have a similar 200 in for £2200 that needs some work

I mean, there are loads of used ones on eBay. I've ran plenty of used spindles without problems.

That’s a damn good idea, I’ve always resorted to molegrips to turn the piston. Gentle heat (boiling water) and pumping the lever sometimes works if it’s not been standing seized for ages. So long as you have replacement rubbers... I’m guessing that the brake was working before?...

Mine pops off if I look at it. The bottles not likely to be the problem. Keep an eye on your temp gauge. Catch it before it over heats. Otherwise you’re gonna score the piston and barrel, and yeah, skinny alloy heads warp for a pastime. How many miles of good riding did you get before problems? Also, have you checked your 2 stroke oil? Not sure if bogging down is a partial seizure? Sure hope not...

@chiller1000 I got my swing arm kit from eBay used all balls kit the bushings and seals were really nice the bearings were a little cheap but that’s to be expected since the kit was only around 25 pound I would recommend that kit
