@Michaelashbrook Doesn’t matter which side they go, as long as they run through. Is that what you were asking?…

I crawled around the bike today trying to locate where the clatter came from, paying extra attention to the powervalve cap. Holding a screwdriver against various covers to feel vibrations. I am far from certain, but I think it is the water pump, actually. I might disassemble that and have a look later this week. Thank you both for the input!

The Mikuni 28mm that is fitted from factory is a very good and serviceable unit. Before replacing it, it is well worth giving it a refurbishment first. They're also becoming like hens teeth and as such is well worth keeping ahold of. I ended up going with a 32mm Dellorto VHSA that's found on the same engine which is fitted to the TZR Belgarda.

@Stevie-Wonder Saw this on Facebook, well done buddy :+1: Those Diversions are great bikes, back in the day they had a reputation for being reliable and doing everything well.

Aww, that sounds sick. I live near the Forest of Dean which I imagine would be endless fun of cycling round there. But I've never been as I don't have anyway to transport push bikes over to there (40 ish mile). That does sound like hard work though, just keeping the bikes riding nicely :p

I have tried another CDI still no luck. No servo cycle and no spark. I have tried three different stators and same result. Because the replacement bits I .trying are second hand I have now way of knowing if they are ok. Is there a way to work through the bots one by one. For example can I connect the servo to the battery somehow to see if it works? I can turn it by hand so it's not seized. I don't understand why servo and coil not working. Please help.

Okay...so some overnight parts from Japan and CMSNL and some others from Australia  I've finished the gearbox rebuild..... [image: AP1GczP_uZVbF9qAtBI354lEecnxLNxr8vbpUAQX4_vlIA9Vektt4F5jf-okC8IKzb-OUXzGWAEb2gJNNhOSg1z6rRUYxyeakYQzl0UTbNy3aYgQaNtDnjYHclQfoLdDpXTF0t-MH4SgTQx6iV9iZ-u7SigG=w531-h793-s-no?authuser=0] Brand new genuine output shaft from Japan and a brand new genuine 3rd gear.... This completes the output shaft rebuild. [image: AP1GczP2KpflcDkrYU74DldmqlAwpnyYDh75kN7EZYAAglDFS4Ra4LWnIYcKXa6rnAp7ty7aVOLlYi2L3QSSUmKEKmz4x8877dE6mOLmU2agpdmnqEWHhnnVvKWyfegoR5YeRtRLXxHg_0i344ZpHCKh6_0J=w761-h1311-s-no?authuser=0] New genuine shims, circlips and bearings. [image: AP1GczPryZOZov8DT0-4jUeYt9z_7olcQbjIl_LvQWZucNyTLVWDzE4tiNqYCMewakgXjpUJA4aooJ7ag_6TJJfxkDdR1-7N3matX1AMPOzOpKTtpnvtfxdLqPCUuaQd6eWEpiiW5gXy_nO4xrbnAsFLSqab=w701-h1311-s-no?authuser=0] Fingers cross that's all back together correctly, I'll have to remember to select all gears and test BEFORE firing up the motor, else this will be £8000 down the drain if it destroys the motor. [image: AP1GczMblrL3GSghxv-bdTwebX27Hor_M-mVXqegDXi81nqwtrWInLHT76b7CKw_wZShtJgcg9Pluap6zSiuuBGYc3-Bdq1Hm3uY6S8j9hHd2cRbrALCVLtJmYwStwQvVccRRi3cG9EXhfGkWnRrLev5wda2=w805-h1311-s-no?authuser=0] [image: AP1GczMvMs624VQIz_wN9T46Xyp4hLGD4ohiPk99O3qnBMhR6ThKBKNEpP6JXFj8s31LHogKSYbFf-DjDR--JvFbQuXh4gjMjdbguCwfNIuovLGw5JCMK0RXKyyWVEWeoNHQ0CoDrVWDVHLvk8Qa178nQMFt=w1311-h1311-s-no?authuser=0] And whilst picking the shock spring up from the paints for my ETX, I also picked up the swinging arm for this bike too. [image: AP1GczNkYj3ORIWqQl0xC4kYfaZyJ1ywJV2dfvlihCnch34e7OrCJ1hJIc1Oh9EXyTvIBN8FWkZxZgKaWRp0BakEPsrsPAWWkLHEcPGATSnyyucBAsdvVx3W-xukLygatC3vIlJjx5vrvCrE_pRhpFoyG6KT=w1922-h928-s-no?authuser=0] Should go without saying, all near bearings and a lovely carbon fibre chain guard which I bought about 5 years ago for the Raptor. I'll probably keep the Raptor bone stock and therefore it's not needed for that project and can go onto this beasty. I did have some swinging arm spool spacers machined up but for the life of me I simply cannot find what I done with them. No doubt they'll turn up eventually.

@HOTSHOT-III No, I believe it's a Yamaha DT230 Lanza arm. But yes it's like half the weight of the original one I had. I just need to get the right parts machined up to fit my wheels etc. I've been so spent on 4/5 other very expensive projects that I just haven't bit the bullet yet to order the machine shop work. With regards to mudflap where, I'll probably design some sacrificial item in CAD and 3D print it. @RikuRo I've sent you various links. Any DTR from 1989-2004 will do.
