@Darty The sad fact about all this is such a wonderful bike, lovingly built and very well restored, will hit the scrapheap well before it's time. And once the dust has settled, I'm sure that the outcome of all this will be valuable experience and a hard lesson learned by @Biker_123. As I'm sure from now on he will vet any potential buyers and protect himself much more in the future!!! 😉

@Biker_123 I would suggest a test ride with the buyer following you, if thats agreeable to you of course? If not then play it by ear, if they come out then record everything and watch every word you say, Simply ignoring them whilst videoing them works well. Use your phone if you have nowt else. I think the noise pollution has to be 92 decibels or over for a continuous period of 20 mins or more? So you should be OK Remember if they step onto your property they are trespassing and you are legally entitled to use reasonable force to evict them. Warn them of that and gently move them off but that may escalate things so be wise. ;O)

Yeah do it to spec mate.

If you're filing them then you need to be using a Diamond file. They can be had fairly cheaply and last a long time

@mad73 it's strange as I've done the same thing countless times to and always ended up with the v5 no questions asked but this has left me curious now lol. I've emailed them clear pictures of the frame number and mot certificates and they have the green slip so pretty weird was worried incase someone had tried to clone the bike or something haha guess Ill just need to see.

@biker_123 I recently had this problem, the way I got around it was using an impact gun on the bolt to jolt it then it all came apart really easy after

Alright well i'll grab a few photos of my bikes igntion plug and the diagrams in the haynes manual tomorrow, the wires usually exit by the front of the loom but god knows where they've been taped up to

@Calum Seriously! now that would have been handy to have someone about like that haha. It fascinates me just how much you can learn from these kinds of forums everyone on here specifically that I've encountered is so knowledgable including yourself I kinda feel like I can't go wrong with my dt's now I've landed on here the wealth of information is great.

@Darty sorry to hear that mate! Yep I'll upload some pictures on here tomorrow afternoon of the white one and blue one as the bikes and parts are stored at my parents house or would have done it tonight, id say the white ones probably best condition mind you but will dig out the others and check them over to👍🏻

@Biker_123 That I don't know. Provided the static angle is the same I don't see why not. The coils are there to generate electricity so there should be no reason for them not to work...If you can mount it

These engines are so simple mate. Few cogs and nuts and that's it.

Yeah I know people who will do something similar. You'd be surprised what you can get away with to be honest. Sure it'll be down on power but that isn't a concern to some people.

Thanks! very informative reply there I've never thought about it like! Yeah looks like I'll be riding differently now I'm mixing the fuel defo wouldn't want the engine seizing again happened before due to this oil pump so this seems the only way to go
