Hi, i am john from the UK and I am the owner of a 2004/05 Yamaha DT 125 RE. The bike is low mileage at 11,300 miles but unfortunately after being stored for a long time it is now a non runner. With the help from the forum members I hope to get it running again. Wish me luck. Thanks to Calum and HOTSHOT III for their help so far.

Well, the Mito engine is highly strung. The Mito runs rings around the DTR, but as a result they're a lot more fragile. I had the same thing with my ETX, absolutely battered bike, but it's in such a low state of tune that the engine was crisp, almost criminal to rebuild it.

Hi Calum, it is a good job I did bleed it because after being stood for years the oil had started to clot in the pipe. The oil in the tank looked ok but I bled it until the new oil came through. I am going run clear oil lines as well. I still need to bleed from the pump to the reed valve housing. Hopefully I can get the pipe off and get that done thanks to the help from HOTSHOT III

Hey, im trying to understand the fuss about jet differences between models and years and import etc. I find this very interesting and helps me a lot to fully understand the bike. Like take the same model i would say dtx or dtre with a couple years difference and the jets sizes(also pilot jets) switches significantly and with having the same carb like the tm28ss. Why does it have a difference while running the same engine?
