The description says fits 4dl, 4dl ran bigger carb and they all ran different inleta. Potentially these won't fit DTR cages.

So if this were a four stroke engine I'd be like yeah, break her in.

But sorry, piston and rings is simply maintenance on two strokes.

I would bed the rings in to the new bore, or give the bottom end a good run in (which you haven't built so no need). I'd do the rings and piston in 10k miles.

@nottsbiker Not true as it happens. The bush the oring sits on can actually wear out as well, elieve it or not.

Sorry had assumed it was locked open 😉

@vtrn_raptor I got one of those Cyclone alarms, which is perfect for my use case.

A full paid tracker system can really save your bacon.

Got this in the mail yesterday, pumped to get it on the bike when the domed piston comes. TBH it looks like it hasn't even been run lol

    Depends which TDR you've got.

If its the deltabox one then no as they have their own unique fit, where as the Italian ones are / appear identical to DT-R ones. The other bonus is that I doubt the Italian ones were ever restricted.

That piston is a bloody work of art! Wow.

    DTR/RE/X/Derbi GPR/KTM LC2/SachsZZ125 - Can all run the same 3MB piston.

DTR-DTRE, are the same barrel and stroke.

@declan Yeah, like I said. Get it all back to exactly how it should be. Then we can help to diagnose the fault.

It might be overshadowed by one of the many mods that have been done to the bike, hence why we are all struggling to come up with a single solution.

Or learn how jetting works. There is plenty of guidance on this forum for said information.

@Jens-Eskildsen It would make sense for the pump to be designed that way.

The oil pump is controlled by two elements, indirectly from the primary shaft, and by the cable.

However, if you look at the pressure at the crankcase using a vacuum gauge, I'm sure you'd see negative air pressure.

Since my car has a vacuum gauge, I know when my foot is off the throttle I see like -0.8bar.

Been on the RD sites and they are full of info on these bushes ????
Shocked as I've done a lot of Dt's over the years and never had this problem.
A firm called tss make billet power valves and bushes and there is talk of boring out old bushes and having a sleeve pressed in.
