    Hi all I'm Paul new to here. Recently have a 1988 roundie and sadly the cdi is faulty and the wiring to it is poor so I have purchased another cdi and re-bulleted the connectors. I have a green/blue wire from the cdi left over? The bike starts immediately but the revs are really high very like the common schoolboy error of putting the slide in the wrong way. It currently has a flatslide fitted but I'm destined to put a roundie on to get back to original spec. Anyone help?

    These were almost a nightmare to source 16 years ago, I can't imagine trying to source one now. My bike was stolen in 2010 and they smashed my headlight, the only one I could find at the time at one of the lugs snapped off.     Clutch can make noises too, for example if the rubbers between the gear and clutch cage have gone bad. Check the play if you remove the cover.

    I know the snorkel delete makes it harder to jet but the bike will be put on the dyno. Bearing in mind I’m retaining the stock carb, stock ports and port timing and a zeeltronic cdi, would it benefit from stock restrictive snorkel or no snorkel, a previous owner removed it so that’s how I’ve got it running now, thanks.
