I have YFS200 blaster vforce4 in my DT175/225MX, they just fit straight in bike has a stroker blaster crank blaster topend, i think they would be a bit narrow for a dtr. Wr200 might fit with a bit of moding. I have a DTR/YZ 125 engine running standard reeds with one and a quarter sets of petals to prevent high rpm flutter. Modded yz inlet rubber just to bolt holes need drilling and a bit trimmed off the right hand side, a modded open top dtr airbox with yz carb to airbox rubber with yz carb runs great

@glynn123 The thermostat provides several features. And the one you're referring to is the less significant one.

Yes the thermostat allows for quicker warming up of the engine, prevention of a heat seizure when the radiator dissipates too much heat, but that is only part of the story.

The thermostat also acts as an intentional resistor in the water jacket. It will prevent stale, localised boiling, of coolant within the jacket, by pressursing the water. Thus the exchange of coolant is made causing any boiled pockets of gas to be moved on and either vented out through the radiator cap, or through the rest of the cooling system.

This feature stops the cylinder distorting, or more importantly, the cylinder head, where most the heat will occur.

The WR 426 fork swap I done wasnt too bad, itd be even easier using a WR 426 wheel or hub aswell, also if you got SM rims laced to a WR 426 front hub you could use standard WR axle, caliper and just buy a 320mm caliper adapter to suit the full size SM disc. I was too cheap for this so made my own axle and caliper bracket to run standard DTX wheel, speedo drive and get the 426 caliper to work on the 300mm DTX disc haha.

Looking lovely, I'd be reluctant to bend the pipe, just make up a larger bracket and move it closer.

Decided to change the seat cover this afternoon before work, also reshaped it so it fits the MX fender more natural & installed my trail tech in my bar pad.

@andrewj1680 I know it's common fouled plugs on crossers that simply once there is heat in the combustion chamber that it they start.
