    @irongamer727 Well this is it, I wouldn't have thought so. But you'd have to speak to someone who has ran that setup.

    @scrimsmustang Gianneli more of a Mid-range powerband pipe no?

    The DEP system always feels stronger with the Servo fitted DTR's I've ridden,

    Dunno, always had them on old DTR,s F G H reg mostly with no servos and they just pulled sweet as a nut all the way through and sounded mint an full chat.

    I have a wr200 exhaust on 1 of my dts mate and i had a gap similar what i did was use the bolt hole that the grab handle goes on instead and the put a washer over the bolt that would normally go through the bottom tailpipe bracket and tighten that the bottom mount should be just infront of the original bolt hole

    Silencers massively affect performance.

    There is a dark art to them that even I don't understand, something to do with pipey engines liking long stingers.

    Graham Bell's Two Stroke Performance Tuning would probably have the answer. Highlighly recommend this book

    Oil dripping from the Exhaust pipe is normal. Two strokes are oil machines.

    Back pressure is essential for two strokes, something to do with the harmonics of the sound wave created. But I'd be lying if I knew.

    You will have to refer to a proper text book in order to gain a proper understanding of pipes. I'm afraid my knowledge is dicey at best.

    As a general rule: 2 strokes are restricked in the header/downpipe, and 4 strokes in the silencer/tail pipe.

    Big one maybe?

    I just looked at the Big One pipe and that was the one which is held on by spring clips - "For that true motocross racing look!" Allegedly a 15% gain too.

    The Giannelli looks the best bet to me, it all depends on whether my bike sells soon or not? If it doesn't sell then I may have to splash the cash!!! ;O)

    I just love the tiney 2T zing you get from these derestricted pipes, skip to 5.30mins;

    Two strokes need decent end cans for performance.

    Yamaha also run spring loaded exhaust pipes on their factory mx bikes. So again..no idea where you read that from.

    Fair enough getting rid of the pipe because it's not what you want, but don't let people tell you it'll damage the engine, because it won't. My exhausts have always been blowing, years, and years!

    I think I know what you mean. But wouldn't mind seeing some photos. I wonder why they've done that.
