    @jonne123 my current 2000 dtr/ blue has red rear shock spring but my old 88 dtr black/red had a pink spring. Don't know if it's a colour code that actually means anything.

    @dtStevie98 See these threads bud, they will give you some ideas. If you can get hold of the full Aprilia MX 125 front end it will save you a lot of hassle, if not any other bike like a KTM/Yammy/Honda etc can be made to fit;

    The suspension effect you get from forks comes from the air left inside the fork, after all you cannot compress a liquid. If you change to thicker oil and try filling it up a bit more you will effectively stiffen the forks. Just make sure you still have air in them, don't fill it right up cause then you won't have any suspension.

    Would not hurt to put fresh oil in and seals, make sure you clean all the gunk out of the fork legs, progressive fork springs would be significant improvement. If you are using new springs would keep same oil weight to start off, otherwise could be over the top. Ask spring suppliers for reccomended weight come to that

    @ryanjimccfc The shocks for all 3 bikes are 410mm in length and the YSS item is listed as being compatible for all 3 bikes, which means it should be a straight swap for the OEM unit. The YSS unit's also offer adjustable pre-load and compression too, just the same as the DT200/Lanza's units just without the external reservoir, so you are getting pretty much the same spec as a used 200 unit all in one package. Plus I think the YSS has a stiffer spring over the original shock? So all_in_all it's a simpler upgrade with less hassle of fitting and mounting the res. If you have the cash then I would go for a new and improved shock over an old used unit everytime. ๐Ÿ˜‰
